Two large lagoons are situated inside the park - Chacahua and Pastoría. The mean depth of Chacahua is 2.5 m although the channel connecting the lagoon with the ocean (on photo) reaches maximum depth of 12 m.
Laguna Pastoría is a little deeper in the center (3.5 metros) and its connecting channel a little shallower (4 -5 m).
